One of the core missions of SkyREM is to give back to our planet, and we want to create a positive impact on the world through our work. While we ensure to create environmental change with our business practices and that of sister company Sky Power, we also want to give back to communities around us and make a positive social impact. Over the course of 2022, SkyREM was able to do just that by supporting and sponsoring a number of charity organizations and events.

Independent Living Association: The Independent Living Association renewed its long-term lease with us on the 16-unit care home in Brooklyn, NY, which it operates. SkyREM originally renovated the building over 30 years ago and we are proud to continue partnering with them as they work to provide safe and affordable housing for individuals affected by intellectual developmental disabilities. We were also proud to be a Platinum Sponsor at the Independent Living Association’s annual golf outing this summer in Port Washington, NY.

Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Registry: We were also honored to participate as a Platinum Sponsor at another golf tournament, this time in Hewlett Harbor, NY, for the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Registry. Ezer Mizion has helped to facilitate more than 4,500 lifesaving transplants worldwide and remains the world’s largest not-for-profit, Jewish bone marrow registry.

The Northern Charitable Foundation: On a personal note, I’m also very proud that SkyREM can support the charitable foundation that my wife, Rosa, and I founded with Jacqueline Fried in 2007: the Northern Charitable Foundation (NCF). The NCF works to assist disadvantaged individuals in the United States and Israel by providing resources and establishing support programs for those in need.

In 2023, we hope that we can become a part of even more of these incredible events and continue to find ways to give back to the more vulnerable members of our society.
