SkyREM Renews Lease with Department of Homeland Security in Charlotte

In a significant development, Sky DHS NC, LLC, the owner of 6130 Tyvola Centre Dr., proudly announced the successful renewal of its lease agreement with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The 52,000 square feet office property, situated in Charlotte, North Carolina, serves as the crucial headquarters facility for DHS in the state.

Purpose Built

The property was purposefully constructed for the tenant in 2003 and stands as a specialized mission-critical, administration, processing, and enforcement facility in the Airport submarket of Charlotte. Located just east of Tryon Street, a major north/south thoroughfare in Charlotte, the facility boasts excellent access to I-77 (approximately 1.3 miles) via Tyvola Road. Furthermore, it is strategically positioned in close proximity to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, approximately six miles away.

SkyREM expressed enthusiasm about extending the lease for the GSA tenant, who has been a longstanding occupant since the property’s construction in 2003. Emphasizing the enduring and growing relationship with the tenant, Vice President at SkyREM, James Pancetti, stated, “We are excited to have renewed this important GSA tenant, who has occupied the building since 2003. We value the continuing and growing working relationship GSA.

“This is an ideal HQ for this specific tenant operations,” continued Pancetti, “and is one of many GSA properties within our portfolio having an important public safety/national security aspect.”
