I am incredibly pleased to announce that 2022 was another strong year for SkyREM, especially when it came to building and strengthening relationships with our long-term business partners. Our team believes in supporting our clients by creating long term assets with upside, and these renewed property leases will allow us to continue doing just that throughout 2023.

Bob’s / Eastern Mountain Sports: SkyREM was thrilled that these popular retailers decided to extend their lease of our 241,333 square foot facility in Meriden, CT. We’re equally thrilled that our sister company, SKY Power, was able to get involved and help to create the site’s rooftop renewable energy system, producing clean energy to supply the site’s energy demand.

Fosdick Fulfillment: SkyREM also extended the lease of additional property in Meriden, CT, a 340,000 square foot industrial site servicing family-owned supply chain firm Fosdick Fulfillment and their eCommerce fulfillment services.

FISKARS / WWRD: For the past decade, SkyREM and Fiskars Corporation have enjoyed an incredibly positive relationship. In 2022, we continued strengthening that relationship by extending the lease on SkyREM’s 277,906 square foot facility in Wall Township, NJ, which serves as Fiskars’ sole distribution center for the Americas. SkyPower, SkyREM’s sister company, also constructed a solar rooftop system to provide the bulk of the power demand for this property.

Keeco Fashions: We are pleased to announce that this year, Keeco Fashions not only extended its lease on our 300,000 square foot facility in Martinsville, VA, but they also trusted SkyREM to break ground and start building a new connected 244,000 square foot facility for their company at the same property, which should be completed in the first half of 2023.

Independent Living Association: More than 30 years ago, SkyREM purchased and renovated a 16-unit care home in Brooklyn, NY occupied by the Independent Living Association. Over the past year, we were able to extend that lease, further strengthening our business relationship with this incredible non-profit that works to create positive social change.

This was a challenging year for us all, but I am still immensely proud of the extraordinary efforts by our team to address the needs of our customers and partners. Further, I’m excited for 2023 and the opportunity to continue creating positive social and environmental change while improving energy efficiency and keeping our tenants competitive.
