SkyREM is excited to announce the grand opening of a new ALDI grocery store at the Quartermaster Science + Technology Park. This opening marks an important inaugural retail tenant for the Quartermaster community, which serves the campus as well as neighboring communities.

22,000 Square Feet of Space

SkyREM promotes access to quality, fresh, and affordable groceries, providing healthy and sustainable lifestyles for our on-campus and surrounding communities. ALDI will occupy 22,000 square feet of space on our campus, with on-site parking, and will serve as a key tenant.

In January, we announced plans to convert Philadelphia’s historic Quartermaster military base into the Quartermaster Science + Technology Park, a $250 million mixed-use commercial redevelopment project. This project will include wet and dry lab spaces for life science startups and established companies to conduct full-scale research and development, as well as bio-manufacturing facilities. Additionally, the campus and surrounding communities will have access to restaurants, a boutique hotel, and other amenities planned on-site.

More on the Quartermaster

The Quartermaster Science + Technology Park campus is spread across 24 acres of land, with six acres dedicated to green space. The floor plans of the buildings are designed to cater to the diverse needs of potential tenants. The buildings feature heavy dual feed power, industrial aesthetics like large factory windows, exposed ceilings, and polished concrete floors.

Gas and water upgrades are currently underway for all buildings, and they will be ENERGY STAR and LEED-certified. Our renewable energy subsidiary, SkyPower, is planning to construct substantial rooftop solar systems to generate most of the electricity for the Park.

Located in Point Breeze South Philadelphia, the Quartermaster Science + Technology Park is well-positioned to attract a talented workforce from three states. The campus is conveniently located off I-76, with easy access to I-95, and immediate access to public transportation via SEPTA bus routes 7 and G. The Park is only 15 minutes away from Philadelphia International Airport and is located near the Phillies, Flyers, 76ers, and Eagles sports stadiums.
