I am delighted to share the success of another year of lives saved by the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Registry. In another heartwarming, emotional event, I was lucky enough to witness a reunion of cancer survivors, bone marrow donors, IDF soldiers, and Jewish people from all around the world, who came together as one to celebrate the continuation of life.

The Ezer Mizion registry is the largest Jewish registry in the world, saving hundreds of lives each and every year. Since its inaugural year in 2010, the annual “Swing for Life” golf event has shown incredible growth. Not only does it raise awareness of this incredible service, but the event encourages people across the globe to donate and support the program’s mission to provide cancer patients with the help they require.

Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Registry

Many cancer patients receive the devastating news that the only proper treatment for them is a bone marrow transplant. Finding a qualified donor is a long, difficult process — one that may take much longer than the patient can afford. The Ezer Mizion registry has facilitated more than 5,300 life-saving stem cell transplants worldwide, 496 in 2023 alone.

I was once again honored to have SkyREM as one of the main sponsors of the event, alongside our friends at City National Bank, Angelo Gordon, Grossberg Yokelson Fox and Beyda, Shanholt Glassman Klein and Kramer, Erez Asset Management, Jones Lang Lasalle, 20/20 Foresight, and many more who were able to participate in this amazing “sold out” event.

Assisting Post October 7

Following the horrors of October 7, the Ezer Mizion registry has taken a further step to help Israel. Donations raised have helped the registry in assisting in hospitals, transferring wounded soldiers, distributing hot meals, providing medical equipment and ambulances, and evacuating cancer patients from war-stricken zones.

Despite new challenges faced with the ongoing war, Ezer Mizion has decided to expand its services and provide more to the community than ever before. In July 2024, the Hole in One Donor Pool saved an incredible total of 179 lives, aspiring and pushing to save many more throughout the remaining months of this year.
